Neglected bugs

I was going to ask this on Talk:Problems with cdbi, but that page is locked, as is Talk:Main Page. Is anyone actually looking at the bug list on rt.cpan.org? There are open bugs on there that are three years old. Has Class::DBI been abandoned? -- Beland 20:59, 6 October 2006 (BST)

Sorry about the locked pages. There was quite a rash of wiki-spam there for a while. After rolling back changes on almost a daily basis for a couple weeks, I was forced to take the somewhat draconian action of locking some pages.

Anyway, no, CDBI has not been abandoned. Tony reads and responds to all bug reports in a timely fashion. He continues to develop CDBI, as evidenced by the numerous version 3.0.x releases over the past year or so. If you read the stalled bug reports on RT, they are usually stalled for a good reason, like the person who reported the problem didn't submit a failing test case. Sometimes Tony just decides that he doesn't like the solution that is suggested because it's too much of a hack. -- EdwardSabol 04:14, 18 October 2006 (BST)

P.S. The Class::DBI mailing list is probably a better venue for discussion than the wiki's Talk: pages.
